Makeup Artist, Art Director and Magazine Editor Sara Hill is a free-thinking creative born in Glasgow, Scotland. With 20 years of experience, Sara has worked internationally on many advertising and fashion campaigns. Her work elegantly combines graceful lines, strong shapes and vibrant colours. She is represented by boutique London agency S: Management.
Sara has worked with many notable personalities, from Kanye West, Melanie C, Emeli Sande, Jack O’Connell, Grace Jones, to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and much more. Sara has worked for years at international fashion weeks for designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Ashish, Biba and Alexander McQueen. Sara Hill was the winner of best UK makeup artist 2012, Expert Makeup Artist of the Year 2015, Beauty Icon Award winner. Sara was also the UK trainer for MAC Cosmetics and the National makeup artist for Laura Mercier. Her work has featured in many publications; the likes of Elle, Marie Claire, Red, Valt, Fiasco and British Vogue. Sara Hill also recently launched her own cosmetics line.
Kat McSwein has worked in the fashion industry for over 15 years with experience as both a fashion stylist and a makeup artist. She’s worked with celebrities such as Paolo Nutini, The Saturdays, Girls Aloud, Gerard Butler and Alesha Dixon. Kat’s work has graced the pages of many top fashion editorials such as Vogue, Hello and Grazia magazine. She has worked at London Fashion week and other fashion events such as Dressed to Kilt in New York and The Style Awards. National advertising campaigns and clients include Reebok, Capital Radio, Atlantic Records, Sony, Highland Spring, Irn Bru, Nike, Russel Athletic and much more. Kat is one of the most sought after artists in Scotland today, based in Glasgow and London.
Daughter of an Oscar winning makeup artist, Sophie trained at The London College of Fashion. Sophie’s freelance career spans over 17 years and she has worked on some major films and productions such as 'Harry Potter', ‘One Day’ Starring Anne Hathaway, ‘World War Z’ Starring Brad Pitt, and many more. Sophie was the national makeup artist for NARS cosmetics and has been a makeup artist for brands such as Laura Mercier and Make Up For Ever. Originally from London, Sophie lives and works in Scotland; continuing to work in the film and TV industries, she also has her own Bridal makeup and hair business based around Loch Lomond. Some of Sophie’s working credits and clients include: Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Selfridges, Urban Music Awards, London Fashion Week, Graduate Fashion Week, BBC, Channel 4, E4, Living TV, Just Jack Magazine, MTV, BAFTA, London Film Festival and the National Theatre.
Kimberley has over 11 years experience working as a freelance makeup artist, having completed a series of short courses at the prestigious London College of Fashion. Kimberley’s work varies from commercial advertisements to music videos and her editorial work has been featured in publications such as Grazia, Red Magazine, The Skinny, Hello! and The Herald. She has also worked on fashion shows for London Fashion Week, Graduate Fashion Week, The Scottish Style Awards and The Edinburgh College of Art Graduate Show as well as events such as The Mobo Awards and Mallorca Rocks Festival. She has worked with other clients such as New Look, Ortak, RBS, Urban Outfitters, Agent Provocateur and Channel 4.
Rae is a professionally trained makeup artist specialising in fashion, editorial, bridal and beauty. Having a background in visual arts and graduating from Grays School of Art, Rae found her true passion within makeup. This allowed her to develop her artistic ability in the makeup world in which she has over ten years industry experience. Rae has worked globally with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Laura Mercier, MAC, Estee Lauder, Toni and Guy and Bourjois to name a few. She is based in the North East of Scotland and has built up a very successful bridal business and continues to work in all areas.
Based in the North East of Scotland Jade has built up a successful reputation and clientele within the bridal industry not only in her area but throughout Scotland. Working with companies such as Freshen Up has seen her work with festivals such as Rockness and Creamfields. Jade also joined Airbase Airbrush Make Up as part of their UK trainers in 2014. Her fashion shows have seen her backstage at events including Edinburgh Fashion Week with designers such as Issey Miyake, Pam Hogg and new scottish designers. Basler Fashion, Aspire the Attire and Graduate Fashion shows throughout Scotland. Editorial work has been featured in Elegant Magazine, Dark Beauty, Noctis, and Make Up Pro. She has carried out Advertising work for Sarah Brown Jewellery, Indian Summer Gin, Isabelle Randall Dress design, Jane Gowans Jewellery, Scottish Hotels and local designers.
Based in Central West Scotland, Lynsey is an internationally travelled makeup artist who has worked with some of the biggest names in the beauty and fashion industry. With a career based in both Glasgow and London spanning more than a decade, Lynsey has built her own successful Bridal Business and has seen her work published in Marie Claire and InStyle. Lynsey has also worked on national campaigns for UK retailer House Of Fraser. Previously holding the role of International Artist for Laura Mercier Cosmetics, Lynsey has travelled throughout the UK, Europe and America, working runway shows at London Fashion Week and The Scottish Style Awards, collaborating with top fashion and retail brands including Jenny Packham, Pamela Rowland, Vivienne Westwood, Biba, Harvey Nichols, Ghost, Birchbox, SAKS, Selfridges and many more.
With over 20 years experience in the hair industry, and having trained at the prestigious L’Oréal academy in London, Karen is one of the most sought-after freelance hair stylists in the UK. She has worked globally with some of the biggest names in the business. She is a successful business women, trainer and entrepreneur, having owned many salons across Scotland and created Xpress Colour Art, an innovation in creative hair colour techniques. Karen decided to leave the salons to follow her passion for creativity, fashion and training and now works as a successful freelance session stylist for magazines and many backstage shows. Her work has appeared regularly in ION-magazine, No. 1 magazine, Spectrum, Evening Times, creative head magazine. Her varied background and vast industry knowledge, together with amazing technical ability, make her a truly inspirational trainer.
Martine is a freelance Session Hair Stylist based in Scotland with 20 years experience in the industry. She was originally international Art Director for Alan Edward’s Salons Glasgow and has 17 years experience with session hair and teaching. She has shared her knowledge and passion for the hair and fashion industry around the globe. Her editorial work includes Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Spectrum, Scene, Slave, Herald, Estetica, Hairdresser Journal and other industry-led magazines and national papers. Campaigns include Schuh, Faux Lashes, Rox, International, Loreal, GHD. Martine has worked on several runway shows such as London Fashion Week, Central St. Martins graduate show, Gucci, Amiee McWilliams, AvShalom Gur, Basso & Brooke, Deryck Walker, Kerry Nixon, Lancome, L’Oréal, and the Scottish Style Awards. As well as working with Eddie Izzard, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Isobel Campbell, Sons and Daughters, Allison Mackenzie to name but a few. Martine was the head of hair design for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
